The Role:

We are seeking a full-time Welding Robot Operator to join our dynamic team at our Otorohanga site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to start immediately. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in robotic welding and will play a key role in the operation and upkeep of robotic welding systems—ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in production. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well within a team are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate robotic welding systems, including:
Loading and unloading parts into jigs and fixtures.
Developing, selecting, and running correct programs.
Changing over jigs and fixtures as needed.
Ensuring accurate completion and system recording of welded parts.
Assist in the development and improvement of robotic welding processes, jigs, and fixtures to reduce time and cost, ensuring all welding robots operate efficiently and productively.
Develop new robotic welding programs to assist Product into Production goals set by Management.
Perform day-to-day maintenance tasks and report faults for timely resolution.
Support the development and maintenance of a healthy and safe work environment in accordance with company safety policies.

What We Are Looking For:

Previous experience in robotic welding or general fabrication (MIG) preferred.
Willingness to learn robotic systems and support programming functions when needed.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
Ability to pass pre-employment and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand (citizen, resident, or valid work visa required).
