The Role:
We are seeking a full-time Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic team at our Otorohanga site. This is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to start immediately. Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for picking and issuing parts for production, identifying material shortages, and liaising with the Material and Scheduling team to resolve them. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently as well as within a team are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-picking parts for production.
Identifying and fulfilling part shortages.
Delivering picked parts to jobs.
Unpacking and receipting inwards goods into storage.
Triggering Kanban and material reorders.
Overseeing and maintaining stock levels.
Assisting with general stock counting.
Assisting with Kanban card generation.
General warehouse and yard housekeeping.
What We Are Looking For:
Previous warehouse or part handling experience preferred.
Proficiency in using computers and relevant systems advantageous.
High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
Reliable work ethic with a proactive approach to tasks.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, as well as ongoing random testing.
Eligibility to work in New Zealand (citizen, resident, or valid work visa required).
