The Role:
We are seeking a full time machine assembler to join our team at our Timaru site. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to quality, attention to detail, and the ability to work productively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble machines and component parts to a high standard.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised workspace.
Work collaboratively with other members of the assembly team and wider fabrication team to achieve assembly target deadlines.
You will need to have a strong team work ethic and be capable of performing tasks to a high standard under minimal supervision. The nature of the job requires multi-tasking and the lifting and placement of heavy components so you will need to be physically fit and capable of doing this type of work.
Normal working hours will be 7:00am to 3.30pm with the flexibility to be able to work overtime during busy peak periods if required.
What We Are Looking For:
A practical hands-on person with mechanical aptitude.
An ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
A fast learner with good organisation skills.
A reliable work ethic with a proactive approach to tasks.
Strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering high quality work.
Good communication skills and an ability to work well in a team environment.
Class 1 (car) full drivers licence.
A forklift operators licence.
The successful applicant will need to pass a pre-employment drug test.
